Hey there! I'm Sierra, founder of Paws-ability Unlimited! As a Licensed Veterinary Technician with over 20 years of experience in veterinary medicine, I've dedicated much of my life to animal health, behavior, training, and educating the people who love them. But my passion for working with animals began long before my professional career!
Growing up with a Belgian Malinois, I discovered my love for dog training at an early age. By just 11 years old, I was teaching my dog an assortment of tricks and challenges using anything I could get my hands on—from chairs and broomsticks to ladders and even his favorite toy suspended from a clothesline! What started as childhood creativity quickly developed into a fascination with how animals think, learn, and communicate. That passion eventually led me into several years of horse training before pursuing my career in veterinary technology.
It wasn't until the behavioral challenges that emerged during the 2020 pandemic that I recognized a significant gap between veterinary medicine, canine behavior, and practical dog training. I saw firsthand how many owners struggled to understand their dogs' behaviors, often without the tools or guidance needed to address them effectively. Drawing on my veterinary background and knowledge of animal behavior, I set out to bridge that gap by developing a balanced, multimodal training approach that prioritizes the individual dog rather than relying on a single training philosophy.
Today, I find myself right back where my passion began—helping people discover the incredible potential within their dogs and creating stronger, more meaningful relationships built on communication, structure, trust, and mutual understanding. My goal is to make training not only effective and practical, but also an enjoyable and rewarding experience for everyone involved.
I don't believe in simply training dogs to follow commands. I believe in teaching people how to understand their dogs, communicate clearly, and build a partnership that lasts a lifetime.

Apprentice Dog Trainer | K9 Adventures Coordinator
Meet Kat Turner, a passionate dog enthusiast and apprentice trainer at Paws-ability Unlimited! With a lifelong love for dogs and a strong belief in the importance of structure, consistency, and clear communication, Kat is dedicated to helping dogs and their owners build stronger, more balanced relationships. As the proud owner of Winnie, her Australian Shepherd, and Draco, her Pit Bull, Kat understands firsthand that every dog has a unique personality, individual needs, and different motivations. Working alongside our training team, she continues to expand her knowledge of canine behavior and our balanced, multimodal training philosophy. Kat also leads our K9 Adventures program, where she combines her passion for dogs with purposeful outings focused on real-world obedience, confidence building, socialization, and enrichment. Her goal is to help every dog thrive through proper guidance, meaningful experiences, and a solid foundation of structure.
Pricing
TRAINING:
Evaluations and Consultation $175 (approx.. 2 hours), additional dog $50
Private Lessons $125 (1 hour), additional dogs $25
Board and Train options are $1500/14 day or $2800/30 day
Group Class (per class) $50
Virtual Online Private lesson $75
K9 ADVENTURES:
Single adventure $75
4-adventure package $280 ($70 each)
8-adventure package $520 ($65 each)
Additional dog, same household $25
Extended-distance pickup $10–$25
BOARDING:
Boarding (for current and past training clients only) $60/night with the option to add daily “touch up” training for $30/session.
Transport services available, prices are based on mileage.
